Metrics

Orloi creates metric definitions automatically from your connected base and captured activity. In most cases, you do not need to create or manage metrics yourself. Open Metrics to review the measures Orloi has generated, their current values, comparisons, and history.

Three useful questions

Track output: Deliverables completed

Question: How much delivery work did we finish?

Deliverables completed answers how much delivery work was finished. In the Northstar Studio example, the latest value is 24, up 20% from the previous period. This metric is configured with Higher is better, so the upward comparison is shown as improvement.

Track waiting time: Average client-review time

Question: Is client review getting faster?

Average client-review time answers whether client review is getting faster. The Northstar Studio example is 1.8 days, improved from 2.6 days—a 0.8-day reduction. This metric is configured with Lower is better, so the downward change is shown as improvement.

Track rework: Reopened deliverables

Question: How much finished work is coming back?

Reopened deliverables answers how much finished work is coming back. Northstar Studio has 2 reopened deliverables, unchanged from the previous period. This example is configured as Neutral, so Orloi shows the comparison without presenting it as inherently good or bad.

Northstar Studio’s Metrics overview compares 24 deliverables completed, 1.8 days average client-review time, and 2 reopened deliverables with the previous day; the lower-is-better review-time improvement is highlighted in green.

If you need to review or change how a metric is defined, see Metric definitions under Advanced.

Read history and comparisons

Open a saved metric to see its current value and how it compares with the previous period. The dashboard can show a history chart when enough values are available, making it easier to spot a sustained change than to react to one number.

New metrics build history from future captured activity; comparisons become more useful over time.

The Average client-review time detail shows a 30-day history trending lower toward Aug 6.

Interpret results in context

Orloi works from the activity captured within your selected scope. When a result matters, check its time range and supporting activity. A connection or processing warning can make the newest period incomplete.
